It would be really great to have a read aloud function. A text to speech that we can use as we write. A small selection of natural voices would be great.
I would love this. As part of my writing, I always try to read things out loud so I can hear what the natural conversation voice sounds like. This might also help me catch errors when I have duplicate paragraphs that are placed in other chapters. It seems reading out loud can cause my brain to click into place better. Do this as well as find a way to easily rid large books of duplicate scenes and paragraphs

I usually export my project (whole or in parts) and then pop it into elevenreader to listen. I find that I spot different inconsistencies when I listen vs. read. It’s also an excellent way to review a chapter or two while you’re not tied to the keyboard. I’ve been listening to mine while I cook, etc.

Hey, I would absolutely LOVE it if you could develop a text-to-speech feature so the text can be read aloud to us. When reading large chunks of text my eyes can get tired and it would be nice to have the text read aloud. Thanks!!

I agree. I am working on 7 books in a series that I staRTED 20 years ago, and trust me it gets more confusing the older I get. Hearing my words makes a big difference so I can reclaim tone etc.

. Its super important that writers HEAR their work not just read it. I catch all kinds of issues from misspellings to awkward prose. Things my eyes don’t always catch. For this I have been using Eleven Labs reader to listen to my chapters. It’s works good but this process could be streamlined it a Read Aloud feature were embedded into Sudowrite.
