Scene generation is in incorrect tense

Scene generation doesn’t appear to look at the selected story tense. As a result, it tends to produce scenes in present tense. However, when you then hit “Generate” to draft the chapter, about ¼ of the time the pre-flight check will flag the tense and offer to rewrite the scenes in the selected tense.
