When I generate using Muse, I often have the problem, that it seems to ignore my character bible. Last time I was creating a chapter with only the two main characters in it. They are both male and clearly stated so in the character bible. But Muse consequently made one of the characters female in that specific chapter (when all the others before he was male already) and totally changed the behavior.
Also sometimes the outline of the chapter seems to be halfway being ignored in the scenes and the prose afterwards. When the outline says, the talk at a school yard, it’s having the character leave the school yard, walk home, being back at the school yard, go home by bus, mentioning that the school yard is now empty and have them talk (wherever they might now actually be).
Or a poverish 13 year old boy is mocked by his friends, that he just doesn’t want to come with them because he want to play on his gameboy and have fun with his (from the beginning of the by then 30k+ word story knowingly dead) mom.
I feel like Muse is either not following directions very well or is ignoring facts from the outline, character bible and previous chapters. I am putting a lot of effort to have all the information in there, so that it can by used by the AI and having all that ignored to produce some nonesense is really frustrating, because I could have used that time to write something else…
