How do you manage changes to characters and world building over time?

When writing a series characters and things evolve over time. I don’t think the story bible support this in any good way. I have tested some different alternatives, like creating several character entries, like “John Smith - Servant”, “John Smith - Millionaire”, but found that the AI can be confused by this. I have also considered not using the series feature att all.

The way I do it know is that I build my own story bible system outside Sudowrite and import any changes for each new story depending where in the timeline it take place. It works but has its drawbacks.

I am curious to know how you handle this?
