Characters Assigned to Perspective Roles: designating a character as narrator

There are a number of stories where we have some character who may or may not be IN the story being told.

Doom Patrol is an example where the Narrator is a character outside and inside the story being told.

A number of framing stories involve a character who is a narrator outside the story entirely.

A character might have a 3rd person omniscient perspective of the story while having their own framing story where they only have 1st person.
