Gemini 3.1 Pro is Google's latest flagship model, bringing strong creative range and fast, reliable output. It's a great option for writers who want to experiment with a different voice, and thanks to its massive context window, a powerful choice for those building out Plugins.
Claude Sonnet 4.6 is Anthropic's latest Sonnet-tier model, built for smart, efficient performance—on par with Opus 4.6, but lighter on credits. It balances creative quality with speed, making it a solid everyday choice whether you're pantsing in Write or generating a full chapter in Draft. If you loved Sonnet 3.7, we think you’ll really like how 4.6 sounds.
Both models are available now in Write, Draft, and Plugins. We also have a couple of other recent updates you should know about.
Import Novel Fix — We fixed an issue where Import Novel would occasionally get stuck midway through or skip the Character creation step.
Draft Tool Improvements — We made improvements to the Draft tool that make the process more intuitive and also make it easier to select your preferred AI model.
