UK versus USA spellings

Feature Request

Now, I realise this might already exist but I was wondering if you could incorporate a way of utilising UK spelling within the output of Sudowrite? It would help us Brits enormously :-) (Unless it’s already there, in which case Thank You and could you point me to the right setting please? paulgraham@pobox.com

      So annoying to always be correcting US English. Really offputting. I’m looking at competitors with this feature

    English use outside USA (aka not US English)

    I do not live in a country that uses US English. Sudowrite is slowing down my entire process by forcing me to either spellcheck everything or constantly remind it not to use the programmed language. This needs to be fixed. Other sites have the option to change language- why does Sudowrite not offer such a basic function?

      I have the same problem. I have resigned myself to just writing it in US English and upon completion running it through Word to change spelling to UK English.

      100% agree with this. I love my US brothers and sisters (most of them 🤣 ), and it bugs the sh** out of me that there is not an option similar to MS Word to be able to set the language specifically to UK English.

    Language

    I may be going blind, but how do I change from American English to UK English. I am writing in UK English yet everythinjg this suggests to me or helps with I have to go through to switch out the Americanisms and spellings.

      It’s a good question! There’s not actually a language setting in the app. Instead, I’ll refer you to this tip posted by a community member in our Discord:
      “Treat British English like any other foreign language and add "write in British English" or "British English Output" in your Style box and as a header above your beats. It works.” - Winter_treu
