it would be awesome, especially for beginners, if Sudowrite had a sort of template for different genres that walked them through what they needed to figure out for their story.
Example:
"Oh, you're writing a romance. Who are your love interests? What's their backstory? How do they meet? Is this a HFN or HEA?"
Mystery: "Who are your suspects? What clues are there? Let's develop some red herrings."
Even better would be an AI-Assistant, walking users through each necessary element for their chosen genre. (Though this may be too much like the idea I proposed of a Sudowrite Editor that also checks for plot holes and other issues?)
But ideally, it would go something like this:
“I see you’re writing a romance, but this story looks to have a tragic ending. Please double-check your genre and plot points to ensure reader satisfaction.”
“Ah! You’re writing middle-grade, but this story might be too dark for this age group.”
Military Sci-fi: “Great! Let’s flesh out your technology and ranks.”
It could even link to other features and give example prompts. "Use the brainstorm feature and prompt with 'spells and abilities, including stats and cooldowns for a gnome mage'" (Bonus: this would essentially show newcomers how to use the features themselves without frustration or needing to wait for a class on that topic.)
