Story bible and editing enhancements

I see a meaningful opportunity to expand its value for authors who are in the editing and revision phase.

1. Auto-Build Story Bible from Completed Manuscripts
It would be extremely valuable to have the option to extract key elements, such as characters, locations, themes, and plot threads, directly from a fully uploaded manuscript into the Story Bible.

The tool successfully generated Story Bible content from the first chapter I uploaded, but it did not continue doing so as I added additional chapters. There also did not appear to be a manual option to trigger this process after uploading the remaining completed chapters.

An enhancement allowing users to:

  • Automatically build or refresh the Story Bible from the full manuscript

  • Manually trigger extraction after additional uploads

  • Re-scan the manuscript as revisions are made

would significantly improve usability for authors working with completed drafts.

2. Direct Editing Integration Between Chat and Manuscript

When requesting a full chapter review, I needed to copy and paste the chapter into the chat interface. While the AI provided excellent inline feedback within the chat, those edits were not reflected directly in the manuscript editor.

Integrating chat-based feedback directly into the manuscript window, such as inline comments, suggested edits, or tracked-change style revisions, would dramatically increase the tool’s editing value. This would reduce friction and prevent the need for manual transfer of suggestions from chat back into the manuscript.

For authors in the revision phase, this kind of seamless integration would make Sudowrite not just a drafting companion, but a full-spectrum manuscript development platform.
