Increase the refresh time of text editing and scene changing.

In my current project I have over 60 chapters lined up to produce in outline, and I am only at chapter 16 in chapter generation and as I change functions or screens the delay is frustratingly slow. My assumption is that auto backup is operating, and this is a 100% file action. Can this be shortened by a part backup or shadow processing and allow onscreen activities to be more responsive allowing a constant memory, thinking, and production process. When one wants to edit the text and needs to be waiting 3-5 seconds for the cursor to reappear or select a word is both annoying and corrupts the author’s thinking process.
