Series Book Specific Character Profiles

The fact is that in a series, characters evolve. What was relevant for a character in book one is probably not in book ten.

What I propose is that when you add a book to the series, you get an option copy of the original (or preceding) character profiles, valid ONLY for that book. Characters grow older, they develop skills, and their appearance or behavior might change due to events in the series.

I ended up writing a database system for my characters for my series, because they change, new characters appear, and old ones fade away (or pass away). The current system requires you to either change the profile, which affects all books in the series, or, as a workaround, create a new version of the character profile, alter it, and hide the old one.

Others have requested similar changes, and I think that, in regard to series books, you should be able to pick what characters are ‘ported over’ and any changes to those characters are only for THAT book in the series.
