More Robust Plugin Search

There are thousands of plugins out there, and finding what you’re looking for can be a Herculean task. The best advice I have for plugin authors to help people find their plugins is to do some ‘00-era keyword stuffing in the plugin description for the search terms people might type when looking for a plugin to do a specific task.

In addition to a “smarter” search that understands common misspellings and synonyms, it would be help to add Advanced Search options like:

  • Search for term in Title, Description, Variables, and/or LLM instructions

  • Search/filter by author

  • Search/filter by LLM used

  • Sort by original publication date

  • Sort by last update (need to fix the bug that updates all plugins to the last date the plugin site itself was updated)

  • Sort by last use date

  • Sort by highest ranked (would require ranking infrastructure)

  • Filter by Instructions Visible only

  • Filter by Story Bible variables present/not present

  • Filter by user text on/off

These are only a few useful ideas I could come up with. I’m sure there are more that others would find useful.
