Filter on the book you are in on a Series

The UI for the character section seems like a dumping ground for all characters in a series. Could we have a timeline view for the characters that persist? And also - probably most needed, please could we have a method to filter on the book you are writing e.g. using a drop down from the books you have in the series. At present I don’t see the benefit in having multiple version of a char - Perhaps it would be better to have one char profile that subtly changes based on the arc through the Series?
