Feature: Intelligent Chat Assistant with Full Manuscript Awareness

I'm a big fan of Sudowrite and currently use it to write children’s and middle grade books, with plans to move into YA and adult fiction soon. I particularly enjoy using the Story Bible tools such as Braindump and Synopsis — they suit my creative process really well.

However, I’d love to request a feature that would make Sudowrite even more powerful and helpful for authors working on full-length stories across a range of age groups:

Feature: Intelligent Chat Assistant with Full Manuscript Awareness

It would be brilliant to have a tool that:

• Can read and understand the entire manuscript (not just one chapter at a time)

• Allows open-ended questions like:

  • “Are there any plot holes?”

  • “Is the pacing appropriate for middle-grade readers?”

  • “Are the characters’ motivations consistent?”

  • “Which scenes drag or feel unnecessary?”

  • “Is the ending satisfying for the intended audience?”

• Provides story-wide insight, not just paragraph-level tweaks

• Works well without needing to use the Canvas, as I prefer a simpler, more linear workflow using the Story Bible

Why This Matters:

• At the moment, I often copy and paste sections into ChatGPT to get this kind of detailed feedback, which takes time and breaks my creative flow.

• I'd much prefer to keep everything inside Sudowrite, especially as the Story Bible already understands my tone and characters.

• A feature like this would be incredibly helpful not only for children’s books, but also for the more layered stories I’ll be writing in YA and adult fiction.

Ideal Features:

• Full access to the manuscript and its context

• Integration with the Story Bible (characters, themes, tone)

• A flexible chat interface for asking questions about plot, pacing, arcs, and age suitability

• Usable without Canvas, for writers who prefer to work in a more straightforward, document-focused way
