Character Information Autoupdating

When importing a character, the program already identifies other characters within the text and creates new cards for them even though that character profile may already exist. I was wondering if there was a way that when the AI does detect other characters within the imported text that it could then search through the characters it already has stored and if it finds a match, to then update it with any new information that it finds within the new imported texts, instead of creating a whole new entry thus creating duplicates of the same character. Or if it is unsure that the two characters are identical that it could prompt a question asking if they are the same IE: “I found John Doe was already in the character database, is this the same John Doe? If they are the same, would you like me to combine the entries?”
