Automatic reading of ALL the book

I'm exploring and starting to use Sudowrite. I love many of its features, but I just don't understand the usefulness of Write and Rewrite if they don't read ALL the previous chapters of a book before writing or rewriting. Now, I guess, they only read a few hundreds or thousands of words before the cursor and too often come up with texts that are only based on that and have little to do with the whole story. Why is that, as an AI can read hundreds of pages in a few seconds? Shouldn’t they read all the novel by default, every time one uses them?
