The character idea generator is pretty useful. I suggest expanding it to include specific information we can add to guide the types of characters it generates. For example, if I wanted to generate possible characters who have a familial connection to the protagonist, or characters who are from their past that they lost contact with, or characters related to their job.
A list of character types would be helpful, too. Like "hero/Protagonist" / "sidekick" / "villain" / "love interest" / "wise mentor" / "ally" / "Antagonist" (very different from a villain) / etc.
A character generator would be awesome. So far the brainstorming solution is pretty lack luster on characters.
I'd kind of like a tool that first started off with some better short descriptions like:
[NAME] : A veteran warrior, been there, seen it, willing to do it again to save the innocent. Tough as nails with a heart as deep as the ocean. 40s military commander. Accent can be just about anything but he needs to be that strong authoritative and instantly trusted leader's voice. There is something about him that just naturally makes him trusted by all around him. He has a sense of humor and is willing to laugh at himself as much as anything else.
[NAME]: a computer artificial intelligence sentient being who appears as a fit woman of about 36 years of age with a beautiful but husky voice. When she sings it is beyond good. She comes off like the strong sisterly friend you know that isn't afraid to speak her mind and is willing to do what it takes to get stuff done.
And then have an expand button that might offer up a number of background details, more specific looks (kind of like a prompt for the image generator), which we could tweak and then hit visualize to also get an image if desired. This would lead to something that could be stored in a character index or viewed as a character sheet kind of like: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/niya-yur-lartra/a/teutsi-person
Being able to focus the generator on a handful of template types.
Second this! Also I would love it if the words allocated would be more than 700 in the story engine.
