And it happens when copying from Google Docs into SudoWrite as well. SudoWrite always strips away any padding around the lines.
Since I write online, this becomes my workflow: Google Docs -> Sudowrite (then add line breaks because it's too hard to read and process on SudoWrite with no padding) -> Microsoft Word (to put the original padding back in) -> Wattpad which tends to preserve the padding from Word.
Google -> SudoWrite -> Google - Also gives me grief. The last time I did that, the entire passage was in italics.

@all We're working on this one right now. If anyone who has experienced this is able, it would be great to have a screenshot or two of the issue, along with your current operating system and web browser.

Oh bummer. I would have had a great example earlier today or yesterday. I actually had double quotes and single quotes replaced with • for some reason that is an encoded 95 I believe. Not sure it looked like a dot hovering on the line, though.

I'm having a small problem with the formating of the words in the cards. If I ask it to come up with something and make 2-3-4 cards, I often only want a short snippet from one card, and something else from another and so on. But when I highlight a short piece from one card, press copy, put my cursor in the main text box and click paste, it also copies some formating, which results in unwanted line-breakes.
My work-around is to copy the snippet, paste it into a notepad, copy it from the notepad and paste it back into Sudo. This works, but it would be nice if that wasn't necessary.

Copy pasting from the suggestion box gives incorrect formatting. I'm not sure that if I click on the copy button, that somehow I'm encouraging the AI to give more of this output when I just want a skeleton of some writing that came out lacking but still had something of value.

When I copy from the suggestion/generated cards, I have to use the "Paste and Match style" function instead of just the shortcut for paste, which takes too much time because it doesn't paste correctly. It puts carriage returns in odd places and breaks up words over two lines sometimes. It's still one word because when you delete it to try to make it all one line, you can see that there's no space but for some reason, the word is broken.

Format issues when copying
When I copy the newly edited paragraphs to my document, the formating is so messed up I have to retype it completely. The end of the lines will not let me add more words and it will look sort of like this:
Time will tell but
we will have to wait and see.
The but and we will not go on the same line. (This is not an actual sentence in my WIP but for an example here.)

Copying and exporting text to Word 2021
Hello,
if I just copy text from Sudo editor window to Word 2021, I end up with extra empty lines between paragraphs. I searched Slack and it seems to be a bug that was fixed years ago, but I somehow still have it. The text was previously copied from Story Engine to Sudo editor.
And if I export text with the function built in the sudo editor, then I end up with a garbled docx file with no formatting and html tags visible, for example:
Chapter 1:
1 - 2
Amy lounged on the living room couch, her boredom palpable as etc
And the text seems to be shuffled.
I am using the stable version of the Edge browser.

Well, sad to see this is an issue. I didn't think to test copying/pasting to Google Docs before I wrote my entire draft in Sudowrite. I had line spacing sent to 2 in Sudowrite and I spent time adding in extra line breaks where I wanted to so my draft was almost completely formatted as an eBook.
When I copied it into Google Drive, the headings and body tags look like they copied fine. But the line breaks are all gone... Several hours of work that I have to re-do now to get the line breaks back.
I thought maybe using the Export from Sudowrite in docx would work better than copying and pasting so I downloaded the export. Same problem there also, extra no line breaks and no double spacing.
Yep, I'm very sad.
Screenshots are attached. The dark mode screen is Sudowrite and the white screen is the Google doc version that resulted from my copy/paste. Please fix this.
