Here’s a look at some recent fixes and improvements the team has rolled out.

Upgrade Subscription Fix - Several authors reported that they were unable to upgrade their Sudowrite subscription. We identified and fixed the issue. Upgrade away!

Draft Tool Continuation Fix - Sometimes when generating chapter prose from multiple scenes, the Draft tool would stop before completing all of the scenes. We identified the issue and shipped a fix.

Beats to Scenes Conversion - Older beats-based projects, which still required conversion to Scenes, were briefly inaccessible to users without an active subscription. We fixed the issue, and all users can once again access all of their projects.

Rewrite Outline Box - The Rewrite Outline box in Story Bible was way, way too big for some reason. We made it a reasonable size, much to the relief of those with modestly-sized displays.

Special Character Paste - We identified and fixed a strange issue that was preventing text with a less-than symbol adjacent to it (like <this) from being pasted into the editor.

Worldbuilding History Fix - When viewing the History of a specific Worldbuilding element, empty fields would display (and let you click) the Fill this in feature. That was a bug, and we’ve prevented that feature from showing up there.

Secret Save Button - Clicking the History button now takes a fresh “snapshot” of your document, scenes, characters or otherwise (depending on which History you clicked). That means you can now “force” Sudowrite to save to the cloud with a click.

History Loading Improvement - We made History load faster for people with lots of “saves.”

Reduced Credit Cost of o3 - We recently reduced the credit cost of OpenAI’s o3, which appears as an option under Experimental in the Draft tool’s Prose Mode selector.
