Fix
New, improved GPT-4o! — Last week OpenAI announced improvements to GPT-4o’s creative writing ability, intended to make its prose more natural, engaging, and readable. We’ve added that new version of GPT-4o to the Write button and Chapter Generator. It’s also now available inside of Plugins (as gpt-4o-2024-11-20
).
Better efficiency, fewer credits — We also made some adjustments recently that have made all OpenAI models more credits-efficient, resulting in a 30% credits savings anywhere OpenAI models are used.
Faster document loading — The team has made some backend improvements that make individual documents inside of a project load slightly faster when selected.
We made all of the top toolbar buttons, including the dropdown options, better available to screenreader users.
We fixed an issue with the word count in the Synopsis section of Story Bible. It will no longer be tripped up by formatting.
Duplicated projects will now correctly read as “Copy of [Project Name]” rather than using the same exact project title.
Duplicating a project inside of a series folder would create duplicate Characters and Worldbuilding elements across all projects in that series folder. We fixed that, so it will no longer create unwanted duplicates.
Similarly, moving a project out of a Series folder and then back into it would result in duplicated Characters and Worldbuilding elements. We fixed that too.
Toggling between documents inside of a project too fast could cause lag, where the selected document in the left bar would loop and flicker. We fixed that, so document selection is now more robust.
Finally, we fixed an issue with the Tutorial project appearing as "Untitled" for new users. New users can now expect one project titled Tutorial Project and a second empty Untitled Project on account creation.
